Join us as a Trustee
Are you interested in working in an environment dedicated to providing excellent education for children? The ‘Jersey Educational Trust 2015’ is a local charity that supports St George’s Preparatory School and La Hague Manor Property Holdings. We are on the lookout for dedicated individuals to join us as Trustees for a rewarding 5-year term on a voluntary basis.
The primary function of this role is as a custodian, promoting the charitable ethos of the Trust and protecting its operational and reputational interests, as well as the interests of those who benefit from its services.
Time commitments may vary based on specific support needs; however, the minimum expectations include:
- establishing a thorough understanding of the Trust and school’s operations to enable constructive and timely support; and,
- pro-actively contributing to, and attending, termly trustee meetings and an annual meeting with the directors of the Trust’s operational entities.
Entities of the Trust
- La Hague Manor Property Holdings Ltd: Responsible for the property portfolio, including the historic Manor House and its 35 acres of grounds and woodlands; and,
- St George’s Preparatory School Ltd: Focuses on delivering high-quality, inclusive educational, pastoral and welfare services to pre-school and primary school pupils aged 2-11.
We are seeking individuals with backgrounds or interests in education, property development, finance, business operations and fundraising in the private and charitable sectors. Key competencies include enthusiasm, commitment, flexibility, teamwork and strong communication skills.
