Little Dragons Nursery and Preschool
A Magical Beginning
Little Dragons provides the perfect environment for 2–4-year-olds to take the first and most important steps on their learning journey. In our unique, outdoor early years space, ‘The Walled Garden’, there are climbing frames to conquer, ride-on toys on which to mount expeditions, and a flower and vegetable bed to sow. Inside at Little Dragons, we learn and explore through play with activities and adventures designed around our abilities and interests.
Beyond the Walled Garden, a wide and wonderful world awaits, with 35 glorious acres to enjoy. Accompanied by their Forest-School-trained teachers, our youngest pupils frequently explore the beautiful and extensive school grounds and venture into the woods to discover more about the natural world. When the children have used up all their energy playing, exploring or being creative, they tuck into healthy and nutritious food prepared by our excellent catering team and recharge with quiet time to rest, sleep or just relax ahead of more adventures.
Little Dragons is bright, colourful and welcoming, with dedicated areas for each age group and an ever-changing range of free-flow activities. It’s a gentle, nurturing and exciting opportunity for our children to experience learning through play outside the home environment.
Little Dragons Nursery caters for children aged 2-3 and children aged 3-4 attend our Little Dragons Preschool. Attending Little Dragons Preschool guarantees automatic entry into St. George’s Prep Reception class.
As Nursery Manager, I oversee each pupil's journey from Little Dragons Nursery through to their transition to Reception.
Our wonderful, award-winning Early Years team members are highly experienced at nurturing and supporting the children in their care, making the process of establishing a nursery and then school routine as easy and enjoyable as possible. We want our pupils to arrive happy, take our hands and play, laugh, explore and learn until you collect them again.
If you’re considering joining us, please book a tour to come and experience the very special atmosphere here at Little Dragons and St. George's for yourself.
You can email Mrs Pallot via the School Office or Book a Tour via our Admissions page.
Our pupils benefit from small class sizes and develop strong friendships during their time with us, many stay friends for life.
A Warm Welcome
We want our children to look forward to every day, and we offer a warm and welcoming environment where they can take our hand and thrive!
Our walled garden is the site of many adventures and escapades, from pirates setting sail on the high seas to gymnasts performing on stage. Imaginations can run wild.
Learning and Doing
We learn by exploring at Little Dragons. We make marks, we build, we run, we play and we express ourselves. Every day we learn something new.
