St. George’s Prep
When pupils join us at St. George’s Preparatory school, they embark on a very special journey of learning and discovery. Our role is to engage and inspire them, igniting their potential. The way we achieve this is by truly knowing every child, meaning we’re able to support them to achieve their best. From Reception upwards, your child’s Form Tutors are their daily, consistent point of contact and will get to know your child well. Should parents want to discuss anything with us from an academic or pastoral point of view, Form Tutors are the first port of call.
Overseeing Form Tutors and responsible for the smooth-running of all academic and pastoral elements across specific year groups, are our Head of Early Years and Heads of Lower, Middle and Upper Prep. Our Heads of Prep have an overview of all elements of the curriculum for their year groups and are an excellent point of contact to discuss any parental queries.
Pupils enjoy lessons with specialist teachers from Lower Prep, specifically for music, languages, swimming, PE and Forest School.
Pupils are immersed in their topics and subject lessons for younger pupils follow the theme to keep everyone engaged, ensuring the children develop a genuine love of learning.
Festival of Arts
Each year, our Middle and Upper Prep pupils take part in the St. George's Festival of Arts. A celebration of the arts with the chance to perform and develop confidence on stage.
One of the things that makes a St. George's education so unique is our commitment to celebrating all forms of achievement. From showing a special kindness to academic vigour, everyone is recognised and celebrated.
Pupils take part in many tournaments throughout their time at St. George’s, particularly from Form III upwards. All pupils take part in House Competitions and have the opportunity to represent the school.
