Our Team

We are extremely proud of our committed team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced staff at St George’s, ably led by Head Teacher, Mr Cormac Timothy.

St. George's is a very special place to work, and an award-winning early years education provider. Surrounded by 35 acres of stunning grounds and staffed by a motivated and supportive team of professionals, no two days here are the same. We feel privileged to educate and support the pupils in our care, and proud to be part of a supportive team of professionals.

Claire Gibson

Assistant Head Teacher, Modern Foreign Languages Teacher & Form Tutor

Following a decision to relocate to Jersey to 2014, I started at St George's as Modern Foreign Languages Lead, taking over the English curriculum in 2016. At this point, I also joined the St George's Senior Leadership Team and became an Island Moderator. After studying Languages for Business at university and working with children with disabilities in Ecuador, I returned to London in 2002 where I joined a charity for children with physical disabilities. Following the completion of my PGCE in 2006, I spent the next eight years working as a class teacher and French specialist in South London. Growing up, I lived in various parts of Africa and I travelled extensively after university. Sport has always been an important part of my life and I continue to run, swim and cycle as much as school and family life will allow. My family and I lead an active, outdoor life and we are very grateful for the outdoor opportunities available in Jersey.
