We are extremely proud of our committed team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced staff at St George’s, ably led by Head Teacher, Mr Cormac Timothy.

St. George's is a very special place to work, and an award-winning early years education provider. Surrounded by 35 acres of stunning grounds and staffed by a motivated and supportive team of professionals, no two days here are the same. We feel privileged to educate and support the pupils in our care, and proud to be part of a supportive team of professionals.

Alex Pemberton

Head of PE

I began my teaching career as a Year 5 class teacher at Plat Douet Primary School in 2008 following a PGCE at Chichester University. My next teaching post was as a PE specialist on the Primary PE Team, which involved working in 5 different schools a week. I would spend one day a week in each school, teaching PE to a variety of year groups.

In 2010, I joined St George's as a Form V teacher and as part of the PE Department. I have had experience as a form teacher to Forms 3, 5 and 6 and my role has adapted from my role as a class teacher to Head of the Sports Department.

My aim is to help to develop the best primary school sports department in Jersey. We aim to be competitive in all sports as well as provide a fully inclusive learning environment. All children deserve sporting opportunities and to be given the best chance of reaching their physical potential. We work hard to develop the children’s fundamental movement skills to help provide the children with the best possible chance of leading a physically active lifestyle.
