Our Team

We are extremely proud of our committed team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced staff at St George’s, ably led by Head Teacher, Mr Cormac Timothy.

St. George's is a very special place to work, and an award-winning early years education provider. Surrounded by 35 acres of stunning grounds and staffed by a motivated and supportive team of professionals, no two days here are the same. We feel privileged to educate and support the pupils in our care, and proud to be part of a supportive team of professionals.

Ruth McKimmon

Form Tutor

I graduated from the University of Durham with a degree in Theology and followed this with a PGCE from the University of Cambridge. I worked as a graduate trainee for Barclays Bank PLC in London for a few years before I regained my senses and returned to teaching.

This was the best decision I have ever made, each day I leave school feeling I have made a difference to the children I have taught. It is an amazing feeling to meet up with past pupils and see their progress in life.

My first post was at St Mary’s C of E school in Finchley, North London. I moved to Jersey to follow my husband and taught initially at Le Squez school. Shortly after this, I was offered a post at St George’s School. You can spot me in the school photographs up the staircase! I have been here ever since (other than a five-year stint in the Isle of Man). Both of my children attended St George’s and I have the accolade of being the longest serving full-time teacher at St George’s. Hopefully I will see out my teaching years at  my favourite school.
