We are extremely proud of our committed team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced staff at St George’s, ably led by Head Teacher, Mr Cormac Timothy.

St. George's is a very special place to work, and an award-winning early years education provider. Surrounded by 35 acres of stunning grounds and staffed by a motivated and supportive team of professionals, no two days here are the same. We feel privileged to educate and support the pupils in our care, and proud to be part of a supportive team of professionals.

Jacqueline Le Gallais

Form Tutor and Specialist Spanish and French Teacher

My decision to pursue teaching followed my year abroad experience in Spain, as part of my BA (Hons) degree in Hispanic Studies at the University of Liverpool. I went on to complete my PGCE at Portsmouth University in Modern Foreign Languages.

I specialise in the teaching of Spanish from Primary up to A Level/IB level alongside Primary French to GCSE level. Following four years of teaching in schools in north and central London as well as Guildford, I made the decision to return to Jersey and taught at Hautlieu School, as a Spanish/French teacher alongside running the tennis club, until 2015.

I then taught for 5 years at JCG as a teacher of Spanish with French, becoming the Head of Spanish in 2018. I am delighted to have joined the team at St. Georges Preparatory School as a Specialist Spanish and French teacher, a teacher of Year IV English and a Form V tutor.

Outside of school I love to travel to new places, to play tennis and to enjoy our beautiful island with my husband and young daughter.
