Our Team

We are extremely proud of our committed team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced staff at St George’s, ably led by Head Teacher, Mr Cormac Timothy.

St. George's is a very special place to work, and an award-winning early years education provider. Surrounded by 35 acres of stunning grounds and staffed by a motivated and supportive team of professionals, no two days here are the same. We feel privileged to educate and support the pupils in our care, and proud to be part of a supportive team of professionals.

Andrew Moon

Assistant Head Teacher, Head of Middle Prep, Designated Safeguarding Lead & Form Tutor

I graduated Staffordshire University in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Studies. Over the coming years, I worked across a variety of roles, mainly in Sports Development. In 2008 I was appointed as a Competition Manager for Newcastle under Lyme and Staffordshire Moorlands, a role devised to increase competitive opportunities for all young people in the run-up to the London 2012 Olympics.

In 2011, I joined Newcastle under Lyme Junior School as a full-time teacher. I taught across the curriculum from Years 1 to 6 and was responsible for PE and Games.

In December 2015, I joined St George's as a Form III teacher and have since taught across Form III to VI.  In September 2016 I joined the Senior Leadership Team and have undertaken a variety of roles including after-school clubs, timetabling, school diary and calendar and am currently the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

I enjoy all sports, both playing, coaching and watching, and am ultra-competitive. I manage the St. John's Football Club first team and try to still play when I can.
