Welcome to
St George’s
Children are at the centre of all that we do at St George’s Preparatory School. We believe that every boy and girl has the ability to excel in his or her own way; it is our privilege to help them to achieve their full potential and to encourage them to take as much pleasure in the success of others as they do in their own. We do not aim to do this alone but look to work closely with parents in partnership.
Choosing the right school for their son or daughter is one of the most important decisions a parent will make. My staff and I are always delighted to show parents around our School, to answer their questions and to discuss the needs of each child whether they are already a pupil or if they are thinking of joining us at La Hague Manor.

A Helping Hand for Haiti
On Friday we offered the people of Haiti a ‘Helping Hand’ in the form of a message spelt out in 10p coins. A large bucket of coins equates to a magnificent £563.00. We will add the proceeds of two Cake Sales (Reception and Form IV) plus any individual donations we receive. We hope to have a final cheque to hand over at the end of this week. It is not too late to add to our collection and Mrs Banahan will be very happy to receive any donations you should wish to make.
Goodbye to a friend and colleague
St George’s
is a community which greatly values and cherishes its family members. We are extremely sad when it is time to say goodbye to long standing staff who have helped make us what we are today. Since joining our ranks in 1997, Sue Lancashire worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure that classrooms were clean and ready for the start of each new day. At all times she did this with a cheerful smile on her face and a willingness to go the extra mile. We are saddened that Sue has had to step down after 13 years of dedicated service. On behalf of parents, pupils and staff we offer Sue and her family our very best wishes for the days ahead.
The Week Ahead
For the benefit of new parents I should explain that each week I reflect, as Headmaster, on the trials and tribulations of the previous week whilst looking forward with great enthusiasm to the week ahead. For the latest report
