Welcome to St George’s
Children are at the centre of all that we do at St George’s Preparatory School. We believe that every boy and girl has the ability to excel in his or her own way; it is our privilege to help them to achieve their full potential and to encourage them to take as much pleasure in the success of others as they do in their own. We do not aim to do this alone but look to work closely with parents in partnership.
Choosing the right school for their son or daughter is one of the most important decisions a parent will make. My staff and I are always delighted to show parents around our School, to answer their questions and to discuss the needs of each child whether they are already a pupil or if they are thinking of joining us at La Hague Manor.

Swine Flu
As you are probably aware, several cases of Swine Flu in the Island have now been confirmed, All the affected persons are responding well to treatment and it seems Tamiflu is an effective treatment.. Any child with a high fever (38 degrees or above) and with a cough, headache, runny nose, diarrhoea or vomiting must not attend school. Medical attention should be sought and a home visit requested. The Flu helpline (Mon - Fri 8.30 am - 5.30 pm) is 445566. St George's, in common with other schools, is drawing up contingency plans should a confirmed case be diagnosed at the School. The Education Department has now issued guidance notes dealing with children returning to school from holidays in the UK. To view the Notes please click here>>
New This Week
Reports on two very different events are now available. We asked Roselind Kelly to explain about the work LEPRA do which made us determined to raise some funds to help. For a full report click here>> On a lighter note the GA (what would we do without them?) treated the children to a western style Barn Dance and a wonderful time was enjoyed by all. The Week Ahead
Each week as Headmaster I reflect on the trials and tribulations of the previous week whilst looking forward to the week ahead. With an over energetic one year old puppy to exercise and two teenage daughters a school of 200+ pupils should be child's play! For the latest Report click here>>
School Meals
The School is proud to offer a cooked meal to each pupil and staff member every day. This important social occasion helps the bonding process and teaches important social skills. We remain committed to quality and healthy options and even this week's pancakes will be good to eat!. For this week’s menus click here>>
