Marathon Fun Run - Sunday 2nd October 2016
A beautiful bright Sunday morning saw 25 children from St George’s Forms V and VI turn up to run the annual 3km Fun Run through the streets of St Helier. The children were very excited and the atmosphere was buzzing. Several children had dressed up for the occasion, two boys in rah-rah skirts and punk hair, one in a morph suit and one girl riding a unicorn.
After an energetic warm up to music the children lined up ready for the start. Along the route there were several people supporting the runners and this encouraged everyone to keep going for the two laps of the town. Everyone completed the run and the first St George’s boy to finish was Keanu O’Donoghue and the first girl was Maya Gardner. Every child received a medal and a T-shirt for their efforts.
We would like to thank Mrs Gibson and Mrs Le Neveu for joining the children on the run and all parents who also ran.
