Teacher: Reception and Key Stage I 

St. Georges is a very special place to learn and to work, and our Early Years setting provides an idyllic start to a child’s learning journey. Our exceptional, award-winning Early Years team delivers the very best educational experience to our pupils with care and compassion.

There is an ever-changing range of free-flow activities indoors and out to excite and stimulate our Reception pupils. Beyond the garden, 35 acres of stunning grounds offer an exemplary backdrop for Forest School activities (many of our staff are Forest School trained) where our children learn all about the natural world. Reception pupils follow the Foundation Stage curriculum, ‘Development Matters’.

In Years I and II, we follow the Jersey Curriculum. In these formative years, it is critical to inspire in our pupils the passion and motivation to learn and set off on their journey to achieve their greatest potential. Key Stage I teachers at St. George’s should deliver a high-quality educational experience for all pupils, achieving the aims and objectives of the school and delivering exceptional teaching and social development programmes.

We are very proud of our educational provision here at St. George’s and blessed with a beautiful natural environment that enables us to offer a unique and very special experience to our pupils. 

We are now looking for a Teacher, to teach Reception and Key Stage I pupils, to join our brilliant team from September 2021. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher looking for a full-time role.

Teaching Assistant: Reception and Key Stage I

We are now looking for a Teaching Assistant, covering Reception and Key Stage I, to join our brilliant team from September 2021. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time, term-time role, initially on a fixed term basis until July 2022.

Teaching Assistant: PE Department 

St. Georges is a very special place to learn and to work, and our exceptional PE and Sports provision sets us apart. With 35 acres of grounds based around our Manor House, extensive sports fields, netball courts and a state-of-the-art Sports Hall, we offer our pupils a sporting education that is unique on the island. 

We are now looking for a dedicated Sports Department Teaching Assistant to further develop our sporting provision from September 2021. This brand-new role has been created to support our Head of PE in delivering teaching indoors and out, year-round. From developing practical movement and motor skills within our Early Years provision to supporting tactical play and team sports for our older children, the role will be varied, active and exciting. We are an inclusive school and all sports lessons are designed to ensure equal access for all pupils to learn and develop their sporting and movement skills and take part in team activities.

This role would suit a newly qualified Teaching Assistant or similar with a sports background and a keen interest in team sports.
