The St George's Experience

What makes St George's special?

St George’s is non-selective and we enjoy tremendous success academically with the vast majority of pupils gaining entry to their first choice of senior schools, both in Jersey and the UK.

We achieve this by employing well trained, highly-motivated teachers and teaching assistants, who nurture and support each child in small, friendly classes. Uniquely in Jersey, our children are taught by subject specialist teachers from Nursery onwards. At St George’s we care passionately about each boy and girl; nurturing within each a belief in their own worth and an appreciation of their place in our School family and in the community. From joining in our Little Dragons Nursery our children are learning manners each day from eating in the dining hall, travelling around the school and taking care of each other. Our older children regularly go into our Nursery and Reception classes to read and play with our younger children. It is important to us that our children hold dear these traditional values and they develop the strength of character and independence of mind to follow their convictions.

We follow the Jigsaw PSHE scheme, making learning understanding and personal development for our children an enjoyable experience. Our boys and girls are our greatest ambassadors; we are immensely proud of them and we are delighted that they are known throughout the Island for their happy, honest and hard-working natures.
