Form IV K Assembly
Latin could once again be heard in the corridors of St George’s as Form IVK pupils, dressed as Roman invaders, marched on the stage and showed their prowess with forming ’The Wedge’ (Cuneum) and ’The Tortoise’ (Testudinem). The children, dressed as Romans and Celts, complete with blue wode, briefly re-told the story of the second invasion of Britain in AD 43.
The children also displayed their Roman projects and shared their favourite page or piece of information. We were shown and told about: soldiers, villas, gods and goddesses, clothes and jewellery.
The assembly concluded with a jazzy song - with actions - detailing the good and bad points about the Romans and what they have done for us!
