Pizza Express

Pizzas in Reception!

The excitement was tangible as the Reception classes arrived for School on the day of their first school trip.  The destination was Pizza Express, St Brelade .  We set off in the school minibus with plenty of parent support.  The task was to make pizzas on their own.  After donning an apron and chefs hat the children had to knead the pizza bases, spread the tomato paste and choose their own toppings.  It was a messy business! The mission was accomplished and quickly eaten!

The children have been learning about ’Ourselves’ this term, with our favourite foods being part of the topic.  Pizzas were a popular choice.  At the end of the trip we found out what our favourite toppings were by creating a pictograph.
