Green Fingers

The newly formed Vegetable Club are proud of their green fingers as everything sown appears to have flourished in their small garden plot.  Marrows, cabbages, lettuce, beans, carrots, courgettes, tomatoes and strawberries all found their way into the school kitchen. 

Children throughout St George’s, from the Nursery to Form VI, enjoyed fresh salad, fruit and vegetables at various meals during the summer term.  Mrs Jo Moore, the teacher in charge of the club, said they were all looking forward to next year when we hope to have our Victorian greenhouse renovated and in full operation.
