At St George’s we care passionately about each boy and girl; nurturing within each a belief in their own worth and an appreciation of their place in our School family and in the community at large. We believe strongly that consideration for other people is at the root of good manners and we expect children to be helpful and observant of the needs of those around them.
It is important to us that our children hold dear traditional values and that they develop the strength of character and independence of mind to follow their convictions. Our boys and girls are our greatest ambassadors; we are immensely proud of them and we are delighted that they are known throughout the Island for their honest, hard-working and cheerful natures.
We encourage every child to have a go...
A busy boy or girl will take part in class assemblies or take to the stage at the Eisteddfod or in the School production.
They will sing in the choir, play in the orchestra and set up a rock group with their friends.
They will find time to attend a club or two and will have to choose from art, silk printing, model making, flower arranging, War Hammer, chess, computer, cooking, gardening, dance, football, netball, hockey, cricket, swimming, athletics, fencing...
They will visit sites and events throughout the Island, spend a week encamped in St Aubin’s Fort and a week in France.
They will enjoy Christmas parties with their friends, hunting for Easter Eggs and building sandcastles on Beach Day.

Children of all descriptions arrive at St George’s full of spirit and energy. We celebrate their individuality and relish the challenge of doing our best for each boy and girl within a collective framework.
We do not seek mindless obedience from them but are concerned to engender respect borne out of a healthy understanding of right and wrong, a considerate appreciation of their fellow man and of their environment.
Traditional values are important to us; manners are the cornerstone of an individual’s character, endeavour, their route to success.
