Barn Dance May 2010 - Nursery / Reception/ Form I

Once again there were the sounds of ’yee-haa’ and ’how-di’ as St George’s young cowboys and cowgirls enjoyed another Barn Dance courtesy of the GA.  The large marquee was decorated and after a party style lunch with willing GA helpers on hand to help fill up the plates and cups, the children were then kept entertained by DJ Nelson. Line Dancing was on the menu along with Conga Lines that snaked around the dance floor.  Some children really ’got down on it’ and there were whirling hats and slapping of thighs!  The children didn’t want it to end but it was time for the older children to have their turn at the hoe-down; so it was off to the walled Garden where there’d been a Gold Rush (well a chocolate one actually!).  A frantic few minutes of hunting found every child with a little box of chocolates and there was contented munching as the children finished their play time in the sunshine.
