Nursery goes wild in the jungle

Our Jungle Explorer Camp on Tuesday was fantastic fun.  The children arrived at school full of excitement; actually this had been building up ever since the expedition was announced.  We set off for the ’great outdoor’ classroom clutching clipboards with maps (made by the children) which we managed to follow without detour to arrive safe and sound at base camp.  Tents and the remains of a camp-fire awaited us – we even spotted the odd tiger and snake in the undergrowth.  The morning whizzed by in a series of games, stories and explorations (binoculars, magnifying glasses and tweezers are useful tools when observing nature at work).  Jungle snacks and jungle Juice helped to recharge flagging batteries.  We returned to the Jungle after playtime and trekked through the woods listening out for Jungle sounds.  We had such a great time and the weather was just perfect.
