St George’s Football 2009/10

Over the course of the football season the boys have worked incredibly hard to improve their skills individually, and as a team.  This hard work has paid off with some great results throughout the campaign.  The ’A’ team produced great performances to beat St Michael’s, Trinity and Les Landes.  The ’B’ team also progressed well, producing excellent results against Trinity and St Michael’s.

The ’A’ team was a strong team this year, with every player adding to the team.  However, the standout performers were Joshua Daniels, Sandy Prosser, and Jordan Ramsey.  Players such as Jordan Rive, Nathan Bouten, Joseph Cabot, Alex Burgess, and Louis O’Hara improved immensely and contributed to an enjoyable season.

The ’B’ team was a young side this year.  Reece Navsaria, George Colbeck-Welch, Maxime Bouten, and Ben Daniels were led well by Thor Tiefenthal in defence and Jack Nicholls in goal.  Flynn Tiefenthal and Finn Redfern joined the team for the second half of the season and showed excellent promise.

The ’A’ team battle hard and produced some good results in the annual 5-a-side tournament, playing in a group against teams ranging from one, to three divisions higher.

All the boys who have played in the football team, or attended football club, have worked extremely hard and can be proud of what they have achieved.
