Brian Skelly visits St George’s

Forms V and VI were lucky enough to be able to work with Brian Skelly during book week. Groups visited Corbiere headland and Plemont beach to soak up the ambience.  The children looked and listened attentively, recording their impressions in note form. Mr Skelley took photographs of scenes, objects or sea life at the children’s request and these were made available to the children on a CD.

On returning to school the children were encouraged to respond in verse, either to what they had seen on the visit or, to a selection of photographs taken in Jersey at other locations. The finished poems will be displayed on Open Day.
