Form V J Assembly Jan 2010

We’ll weather the weather, whatever the weather
Whether we like it or not!

Form V’s assembly was all about the weather.  Some one who studies the weather is a METEOROLOGIST.
In geography we are looking at weather patterns during the spring and summer terms. We explained which weather measuring instruments were needed for rainfall, temperature, wind speed and direction, and air pressure.  We presented some amusing sketches to show how important the weather is for people whose work is weather dependent.

We interviewed Mrs Sophia Bird, the weather presenter from Channel Television.  She was amazed that we were such good meteorologists and impressed with our interview questions too!

We showed our shadow puppet play to everyone.  We enjoyed writing the script and called our story ’Gruffalo in the Snow’.  It was great fun working the puppets from behind the screen, especially the animal paw prints.  We finished our assembly with a ’fun forecast’ in which we predicted that it would rain ’Cats and Dogs’ in St Martin’s and there would be a ’Red Sky at Night’ in St Brelade.

Form V   would like to say a big THANK YOU to the Maintenance Team for all their help with this assembly.
