Christmas Tree Festival 2009
Christmas Tree Festival
Today is pretty busy for the three of us! We are having tea with Mr Moore this afternoon, we are singing at the airport with the choir and we have just finished decorating our school Christmas tree at Father Martin’s Church. Along with 64 other trees, our tree is part of the Christmas Tree Festival organized by St Peter’s Church. We have decorated our tree with transparent baubles. Inside each bauble is a mini photo showing all of our activities at St George’s School. We finished decorating in time to look at some of the other festival trees.
We thought the pink tree with pink lights was impressive and the black Christmas tree decorated with Remembrance Day poppies made you stop and look. St Peter’s Youth Club has used all recycled materials for their tree and St Peter’s Battle of Flowers has made their decorations using hare’s tails. Do go to visit St Peter’s church if you can.
The festival opens tomorrow, Saturday 5th December. Be sure to look out for George the dragon - next to OUR tree!
