St George’s Nursery Nativity 2009

The air was charged with excitement on Monday when our youngest pupils took to the stage in front of a packed hall of mums, dads, grandparents and friends.  The Nursery Nativity is a highlight of the year and marks the beginning of our festive celebrations.

’Follow the Star’ told the story of Christmas through the eyes of the Wise Men who followed a bright star to Bethlehem where they found Mary and Joseph with their new baby, Jesus.  They were joined on their journey by a procession of camels, sheep, shepherds, shepherdesses, stars and angels as all the children squeezed onto the stage.

Head Boy, Nathan Bouten helped steer the children through their first ever show by taking on the role of narrator.  It is quite amazing how talented and confident our three year olds are in front of large audience.  With plenty of songs, lively dance routines and accomplished acting, the show was a wonderful success and certainly put everyone in the Christmas mood.
