Pudsey 2009

Pudsey Bear came to St George’s to see how the children were getting on with their fundraising for Children in Need.  He arrived in a shower of rain and he left large, wet footprints along the corridor on his way to Form I where he was greeted by lots of excited children with their favourite bears.  All the children had bought in their favourite bear to spend the day with them at School and each child had the chance to introduce his or her bear to Pudsey.

Pudsey was delighted to learn that the pupils of Form V had been baking cakes and Pudsey Bear biscuits to sell during break time.  He was also pleased to learn that Hattie Porter had raised over £26.00 on her own by selling cakes at her mum’s office.  All pupils donated £1:00 for bringing their teddies to School for the day and nearly £200:00 was raised in total.

Pudsey then carefully made his way down through the Walled Garden to meet the excited boys and girls of Nursery and Reception children.  Once again he was very keen to meet all the much loved teddies and other fluffy animals that had come to School just to say hello.
