GA Barn Dance 09
Children from the Nursery to Form VI donned ’Western’ apparel for the day and gathered at high noon for a picnic lunch in the ’barn’ (marquee) on the front lawn. With a cacophony of whoops and a good few ye-hahs, the children had a great time eating their sandwiches under canvas.
The afternoon was then spent on a treasure hunt and in traditional hoedown fashion, line-dancing to a variety of music supplied by DJ Nelson. Everyone, from our youngest boys and girls to our oldest, had a fantastic time which was made all the more special by the gung-ho lead taken by the mums and teachers.
A resounding cheer at the end of the day let the parents know just how much the children had enjoyed the treat – thank you, GA, for a wonderful day.
