Reptile Survey
Form I have been helping out with a National Amphibian and Reptile Recording Scheme (NARRS). We went in search of reptiles and amphibians in our wonderful school grounds with Mr Channing who is from the Environment Department. We had great fun looking under rocks and amongst logs for lizards, grass snakes and slow Worms.
The school wood is an ideal habitat for these creatures. We were shown the places the animals were likely to choose; somewhere dark and damp where they could hide safely away from prying children but also somewhere with a sun terrace.
