Form VI Visit To The Trench
As part of a series of events to mark the 90th anniversary of the end of the First World War, a trench was created at Samares Manor to show what life was like for the soldiers at the ’front’.
Form VI were fortunate enough to visit and take part in this experience organised by local historian, Peter Tabb. The visit was made more realistic by recent heavy rainfall, leaving about 45cm of muddy water at the bottom of the trench.
