GA Summer Fete 2008

Dear Parents

Yes – it’s that time of year again!!

We are delighted to announce that our Summer Fete this year will be on Saturday 21st June from 12pm to 4pm.  We had a fantastic time last year with an extremely successful fete, so we’ve got a hard act to follow, but with your help we hope to do the double!  Together with the Ball, this is one of the highlights of the Georgian Association’s diary and is also one of the best fundraising events of the year, so please mark this date in your diaries.

If you are planning to do a bit of spring cleaning over Half Term please bear us in mind if you find any toys/books or games that you could donate.  We will also be asking for donations of bottles for the Bottle Tombola and old crockery.

This year we are allocating certain tasks to year groups replicating the arrangement successfully used in both the car boot sale and barn dance.  However we will also need volunteers to help with other stalls/activities not allocated to the year groups.

We’ve attached a list of some of the stalls/activities that we would like to include this year.  As usual the emphasis is on activities for the children to have fun, fun, fun and really indulge themselves.  If you cannot commit to manning a stall, then how about offering to help with the setting up before hand?  We have quite a lot to do to be ready for 12 noon and the more help we have, the easier it is for everyone.

Please take some time to read through the list of stalls, and hopefully, there may be something there which appeals to you.  If there is, then kindly fill in the form below and pass to Mrs Banahan, so that we can start to collate helpers.  The board will go up in the entrance in due course.

If you have any queries, then please don’t hesitate to contact the fete committee:

A BIG THANK YOU FROM THE GEORGIAN ASSOCIATION
